Srinagar, Apr 19 (KNO): As polling stations opened for the Udhampur Lok Sabha elections on Friday, the Ramnagar polling station stood out for its festive atmosphere, adorned with colorful balloons and offering additional amenities to voters. Located in the Model Higher Secondary School of Ramnagar town, the polling station Mahila- 91 welcomed voters with vibrant decorations and thoughtful arrangements. Women, men, and young voters have gathered at the polling booth since early morning to exercise their democratic right. As per the reports received by news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) despite the persistent rainfall throughout the day, voters remained undeterred, patiently queuing up to cast their votes. Vandana Kumari, the female presiding officer, efficiently managed the proceedings at the polling station for the second time, ensuring a smooth voting process. In a bid to enhance the voting experience, the administration set up a separate center near the polling station, catering exclusively to women. Here, arrangements were made for women to apply mehendi, adding a cultural touch to the electoral event. Furthermore, various types of toys were made available for children, creating a family-friendly environment at the polling venue—(KNO)
